Soon a new movie with comedy king Kevin Hart will be released on Netflix. But the trailer promises that this time “Fatherhood” will show us a different, more serious side of the “Jumanji” crowd favorite. Of course, there is still a lot to laugh about.
Based on a true story
Weitz shared the script for “Fatherhood” with “City of Angels” and “Safe Haven” author Dana Stevens. Their joint script is based on a true story or the autobiographical non-fiction book “Two Kisses for Maddy: A Memoir Of Loss & Love” by Matthew Logelin.
Melody Hurd, a newcomer, and DeWanda Wise starred in “Fatherhood.”
Despite her youth, Hurd was able to shine as a member of the main cast in the much-discussed drama and horror series “Them,” which is set in the 1950s and deals with racism.
Deborah Ayorinde, who is well known for her work on “Them,” nominated Anthony Carrigan for an Emmy Award for his role in the hit comedy “Barr.”
